Went for a temple dinner earlier with my parents n Mr Dory...
But as we were kinda too early, we headed to the hawker center for some lil bites but instead, we had a "feast" there, chicken rice, lor mee, prawn noodles, satay n bbq stingray. *Smuck* N its lucky that we actualli ate.. coz wat went on later spoilt our appetite...
We sat on this table with my mummi's fren's frens whom i felt are overdued hungry ghosts.
Here is recount of wat happened... When the first dish arrived, being courteous, we just sat back n let them have the food first but before we could have any, the plate is practically cleaned out.
WTF !!!!! ANGRY ANGRY ANGRY !!!!!
Since we are all sitting on the same table, I guess all of us should have the courtesy to share the food with everyone, unless someone had declined. But nooo.. we did not say that we didn't want any, we just smilingly told them to help themselves first n in return, they filled their bowls to the brim. *Faintz* I m not hungering for the food but just damn put off by their behaviour... luckily we had our dinner...
Pls dun learn frm them ... Its so damn paiseh....
OMG ...they are such a real disgrace to us Singaporeans... N too think Singaporeans are known to be courteous... Faintz..
Mr Dory n Daddi dearest were definitely damned pissed off...coz its all witten over their faces n my naughty Mr Dory actualli said out loud in Hokkien " kian peng" ( meaning greedy ). Think the guy heard it, coz he ask Mr Dory to eat when the next dish came. But we were already sooo "sian" that we just sat back n enjoyed the bidding process.
Soo, for the whole dinner, we were just sitting there n waiting for the item we like to bid on .. coz we realli wanted to support the temple.
At 1st i wanna bid on this blessed turtle snake figurine which Mr Dory is supportive of but too bad mummi thinks its too pricey coz the final pricing was bout $3500. hmmph... Fine...
N guess wat, when the God of Fortune statue was up for bidding, Mr Dory n Mummi actualli bid $3698. Its higher than the one i wanted....Bias rite... But I like the God of Fortune too. hee so i m happi too...
I guess the best part of the bidding process is when there is someone fighting with you for it...the tension n the urge to up the price is just spine-tingling. Mayb its just me n Mr Dory,coz we are always determine to get the things we want. N when the emcee start sayin in Hokkien, 3698 going once, 3698 going twice n 3698 goin thrice... Gone... The feeling is sooo indescribable..

The next thing that we bid was a chain n a pendant for $688... coz Mr Dory wanna keep it for our kid in future. He is just soo sweet....

In all we enjoyed the "dinner" coz we enjoyed the bidding process though we did not get to enjoy the food...N I m so glad that we managed to help in the temple funds too, especially when its my childhood temple ( coz i have been goin there since young ).
