I m happily Prawning.. yupyup.. prawning...
Has been prawnin for consecutively 3 days... Haha.. Thats wat happen when something gets me n Mr Dory interested...
1st day - Prawning with tiff n her hubby... its been yrs since i last "prawned".
Original plan was prawning at marina south but in the end, it was a wasted trip coz they r closed for some gov projects.. So pple who frenquent Marina to prawn, pls take note.. "THEY R CLOSED" Sianz... So after a round of calling, we finally end up prawning at Bishan.
The cost there is $15/hr, $25 for 2 hrs n $30 for 3 hrs. N since we r all soo free, we took 3 hrs..But soo sad, after 3 hrs, me n Mr Dory onli caught 2 medium prawnies.. 1 prawnie = $15 (which is the cost of 1kg of big prawns at the market) ...*roll eyes* but on the other hand we had FUN...so its well worth it

Again we went Bishan, coz Mr Dory wanna prove that its just bad luck yesterday n true enough, we caught 10 prawnies of which 4 r big n 6 r medium.. haha.. so 1 prawnie = $3 now.. at least there is some Improvement.

3rd day - Mr Dory bought a personal rod.. actualli the rod is for me but too bad, its not the colour i like..
N off to Bishan again.. 3days in a row.. but this time round, we r usin our own rod... *smug* Happily, we set up our rod n after an hr, we've only caught 1 prawnie.. Somethin is definitely wrong wrong wrong.... so i suggested using a house rod.
But the uncle frm the prawning there is soo nice, he volunteered to take a look at our rod for us, n only when i was retriving the rod back, den i realised that i've actuallie caught a prawnie, Wat the hell, all along, i couldn't feel anythin at all....
N after takin a look, he told us, that our line is too long n most impt, the line is too thick n the hook is far too heavy.. so it really difficult to feel a catch n with the hook pulling the float down, its impossible to determine a catch using the float... Wahh.. that means that shop we bought the stuffs frm recommended us nearly all the wrong stuffs. *Angry* ....Luckily the uncle is nice enough to change everythin for us n even taught us how to prawn correctly....

real generous with their prawns, for the 3 hrs, i was there, prawns were release twice.. So happy..
N with our corrected rod, we've caught 18 prawns, one of which is the famous da tou xia with huge pinchers but..the clumsy me accidentally broke its pinchers while removin the hook frm it... So sorry prawnie.. i dun mean it...

Anyway its another improvement made...
I shall slowly work towards my Aim which is to catch a whole net of prawns..
Whahaha....Jus let me dream on...
